Harper announces the family tax cut
Prime Minister Stephen Harper today announced that a re-elected Conservative Government will allow families with children to share up to $50,000 of their household income for federal tax purposes, providing substantial tax relief for families.
"Since taking office in 2006, our Government has consistently lowered taxes on Canadian families so that they can keep more of their hard-earned money and have the financial security to raise their children and plan for the future," Harper said. "Thanks to our low-tax plan, the average Canadian family is already paying $3,000 less in taxes each and every year."

Harper launches his Quebec campaign
Prime Minister Stephen Harper launched the Quebec component of his election campaign in Quebec City along with all Conservative candidates from the region.
Stephen Harper said that a vote for the Conservatives will give power to people in all of the regions of Quebec. He also took the opportunity to announce that a Conservative bus will travel the roads of Quebec and its regions throughout the election campaign.

IGNATIEFF AND HIS RECKLESS COALITION: THEY DID IT BEFORE. THEY'LL DO IT AGAIN.
Today, Prime Minister Stephen Harper reminded Canadians of the Coalition agreement signed by the Opposition parties.
Prime Minister Harper reminded Canadians that the Liberals ruled out a Coalition during the last election ("Dion again rejects coalition with NDP to avert Tory re-election", Canwest News Service, September 24, 2008), only to form one after the votes were counted and the Conservatives had won. He also reminded Canadians that Michael Ignatieff said he was prepared to "form a Coalition Government and to lead that Government."
